James: character setup
I’ve been working hard on setting up controls for James. The thing is he needs a lot of controls (as you can see below) for all the actions he is required to do. I created a gui window that allows to see all controls in organized way. There’s just too many to pick them easily in animation view.
I haven’t yet finished the blendshape models for facial expressions nor is the skinning final and I already have to do animation blocking! Argh! There’s never enough time. What I basically did was create body controls and started blocking and I’ll later add facial controls on top of that so I’ll be soon able to add facial expressions. So far I like the way he’s working as a puppet and I think there won’t be that many technical issues down the road (well… hopefully).
But now back to bulding more blendshapes & other technicalities and blocking some more shots!
